Privacy Policy
This notice explains how Tuva Publishing (Tuva Tekstil ve Yayıncılık, Istanbul, Türkiye) collects and uses the personal data obtained through this website, in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies to visitors from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The data controller is Tuva Publishing (Tuva Tekstil ve Yayıncılık), Adil Mah. Vaniköy Sok. No:6 Sultanbeyli 34935 İstanbul/Türkiye.
You can reach us at info@tuvayayincilik.com for any question or request about your personal data.
2. What we collect and how
We collect the following personal data through this website, by electronic means:
Contact, foreign rights and author inquiry forms: your name, e-mail address, phone number (optional), subject and message. We use them only to answer your request.
Newsletter sign-up: your e-mail address, together with a record of your consent (the date and time, the version of the consent text you accepted, your IP address and language). The consent record is kept so that we can demonstrate your permission as required by law.
Website usage and analytics data: to measure the performance of our website, analyse visitor traffic and improve the user experience, we collect through analytics tools the pages you visit, the time you spend on the site, referring sources, your browser and operating system type, and approximate geographic location (country/city level). Your IP address is masked or anonymised in this process.
Technical security logs: server-side access records kept to prevent abuse of the site and to apply rate limiting.
We do not collect identity numbers, sensitive personal data or payment details through this website. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for independent marketing purposes.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process your personal data on the following purposes and legal bases:
Enquiries and requests: to handle the questions, proposals and requests you send us. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (KVKK art. 5/2-c) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (KVKK art. 5/2-f); under the GDPR, pre-contractual steps and legitimate interests.
Newsletter: to send you news about our titles, new releases and promotions. Legal basis: your explicit consent (KVKK art. 5/1; GDPR art. 6/1-a), which you may withdraw at any time.
Site performance and analytics: to improve the functionality of the website, compile visitor statistics and optimise our content strategy. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f; GDPR art. 6/1-f) and, where the law requires it, the consent you give through the cookie preference panel.
Legal obligations and security: to meet retention and notification duties arising from legislation and to keep our systems secure. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (KVKK art. 5/2-ç) and our legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f).
4. Categories of recipients
Your personal data is shared only to achieve the purposes set out above, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, with the following categories of processors:
Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers: to publish the website pages, host the database securely and provide content delivery (CDN) services,
E-mail delivery service providers: to deliver contact form messages to our corporate mailbox and to send newsletters,
Web analytics and reporting service providers: to measure site traffic on an anonymous/statistical basis and report user trends,
Competent public authorities: to fulfil legal obligations or to respond to binding requests from authorised bodies.
These parties process your data solely on our instructions under data processing agreements. Your data is not sold, rented or shared for their own marketing purposes.
5. International transfers
Because our website hosting, e-mail delivery infrastructure and web analytics services are obtained from global technology providers, your personal data is transferred to the service providers described above, whose servers are located outside Türkiye (in the European Union and/or the United States of America).
For your newsletter subscription and analytics tracking preferences, this transfer relies on your informed explicit consent under Article 9 of the KVKK; for requests submitted through the contact forms, it relies on the transfer being necessary to fulfil your request. For visitors in the European Union we rely on the transfer mechanisms permitted by the GDPR, including standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
Contact and enquiry form messages: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a maximum of two years afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law.
Newsletter data: kept until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribed addresses are kept in a suppression list only to make sure we do not e-mail you again, and are deleted at the latest three years after you unsubscribe.
Analytics and statistical data: anonymised and aggregated usage data collected through analytics tools is kept for a maximum of 14 months and is deleted automatically at the end of that period.
Technical security logs: kept for a reasonable period for security purposes and deleted afterwards.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses strictly necessary technical cookies and local storage, which are required for the site to work properly and to deliver its core functions.
We may also use first- and third-party analytics cookies and performance measurement tools to measure site traffic, visitor volume and user experience. Some of the tools we use collect fully anonymous data without setting any cookies; others may set cookies in order to track user sessions.
You can refuse non-essential analytics cookies, or change your preferences at any time, through the cookie notice shown on your first visit or through your browser settings.
8. Security of your data
In accordance with Article 12 of the KVKK, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unlawful processing of and unauthorised access to your personal data. If we become aware that personal data has been obtained unlawfully by others, we notify the Personal Data Protection Board and the affected individuals as required by law.
9. Unsubscribing from the newsletter
Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is free of charge and takes effect immediately. You can also e-mail info@tuvayayincilik.com to be removed from the list.
10. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request deletion or destruction of your data, to ask that these actions be notified to third parties, to object to a result produced exclusively by automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
If you are in the European Union you additionally have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under the GDPR, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@tuvayayincilik.com or to the postal address above. We respond within 30 days at the latest.
