Jody Long was born in Portsmouth, in the United Kingdom, in 1984. He grew up in Waterlooville, Hampshire, and moved to Málaga, Spain, in 2014. For over twelve years, he designed for all the major U.K. and U.S. knitting magazines, then moved on to design for knitting mills around the globe and writing knitting books. Jody has also designed for celebrity clients. In 2019 Jody launched his own yarn line with Knitting Fever Inc.
