Lalala Toys is based in Barcelona. When Maria Alejandra Montero (Venezuela, 1981) and Jorge Penny (Brazil, 1975) realized how much they enjoyed designing dolls, they decided to make a living from it. They use their dolls as characters in story books, theatre productions and videos. Even though they work in many different styles, they love designing unique amigurumi dolls, portraying people and dogs. They cannot imagine any other way of earning an income, other than being together, making dolls and creating stories.
